Brown Shoes
A new novel by Ray Redd released!

Book one of series

It's only natural that Ray would write a book about East Texas in the 1930's. He was born there and enjoyed living among those hardy folks of that day. It was during the depression and no one had much in the way of material things, but they did just fine.

A new novel by Ray Redd, Brown Shoes

The story begins with finding a body in a sack used for picking cotton hanging from a surviving wall of a ruined brick building. It ends with the kidnapping of Kim Wilson, Bobby Bauer's girl friend.

The mystery is eventually solved with the arresting of the guilty party. There's more to the story than just the arresting of the central figure in the murder.

Another body, this one of a young lady was found on the banks of the Vandy River . This case was never solved at the local level, but was solved later when Uncle Jess and Bobby Bauer were asked to work on the case as it lead them to Dallas, where a serial killer was on the loose in Big D. Women were running scared, and who could blame them.
